Infertility, Social Media, and the Importance of Support: An Interview with Sydney Maisel-Straitman10/29/2020
Sydney Maisel-Straitman chats about her experiences with infertility, parenting after fertility struggles, the importance of therapy and having a community, and social media and parenthood.
Did you enjoy listening to Sydney sharing her wisdom and encouragement as much as I did? Knowing that she shared so openly and honestly through her journey was a big inspiration for me and really helped give me that boost of courage to start the Momxiety Club.
Lynn April has two little boys, ages 2 and 4. She shares her journey with infertility, how it affected her mental health, differences between her pregnancies and postpartum depression and anxiety with each child, and also about Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP). Lynn is a professional food blogger and certified personal trainer with a focus on pre/postnatal fitness.
If you are anything like me, while you’re listening to Lynn you will be nodding your head, silently saying, “yep me too” throughout the episode!
The anxiety of the unknown was magnified and lasted for months for freelance writer and mom, Jordi Lippe-McGraw, after she and her family left New York City at the beginning of COVID-19 in the US. Would you be able to leave your home without knowing when you were coming back? Two weeks turned into 7 months and counting for Jordi and her family. Hear her story of living in Manhattan pre-pandemic, the precautions she and her family were putting in place, and how it ALL changed in less than a few hours!
Let’s talk about…diastasis recti! Last week started the “Let’s Talk About…” Series and I discussed your pelvic floor and kegels.
This week I’m talking about diastasis recti, mommy pooch, mummy tummy, FUPA, and how your core and pelvic floor work together. Why is it important to know what diastasis recti is before your postpartum visit? |
